Daniel Kirk Ellis
Talent: Film Composer, Orchestrator
About me: From an early age, Daniel was surrounded by music. Everyone in his immediate family is musical, and his grandfather has a home studio in which many family recordings have been made. Daniel started piano in 4th grade, and has continued playing ever since then. Over the years, he also learned saxophone and flute, and found another niche in the world of percussion. As he progressed through school, he began to learn how to use Pro Tools through his grandfather's studio and eventually set up his own studio. Daniel got his start on film music when he realized something: Throughout his musical journey, he cycled through many different genres of music. There was punk, there was metal, there was progressive rock, and there was many more. The one genre that has always been present is film music. Since having that revelation in high school, he has been scoring films and continues to work on at least one at all times. He has worked tirelessly to network with film makers, and will continue to do so!
