David Do
School: San Jose State University Undergraduate
Talent: Writer, Gaffer, Actor, Editor, Cinematographer, Action Choreographer
About me: My initial exposure to film-making was during high school, when I and my best friend produced a short film that parodied every soap opera cliche that ever existed. From that moment, I became hooked on the incredible world of film-making. Since then, I've dabbled in various small but interesting projects involving action choreography (I do 4 different martial arts and parkour), writing (celtex), editing (Adobe Premiere CS4), special effects (Adobe After Effects CS4), and camera operation (a Canon T2I). I love watching, discussing, and above all, making movies. My first big break occurred when the movie I gaffed for, "Disconnected," won the SJSU CMF 2012 "Best Drama" award.
Currently the captain of David Do's Crew
