HOW: See details below Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world's largest student film festival and a premier outlet for the next generation of filmmakers, began in 2001 when four students at Emory University provided fellow students with everything they needed — including camcorders and Apple laptops — to make movies in one week. Since then, more than 500,000 students at colleges and universities globally have received all the necessary technology and training to tell their stories on the big screen through film. CMF is free for UCLA students. The winning films in UCLA's festival circuit will go on to compete on a national level at CMF Hollywood. To participate in CMF at UCLA please click the above link to register. Specifications: Apple laptops with iMovie 09, FCS 7 and FCS 10 will be provided. Panasonic HSC 250, 100, and 99 cameras will be provided. All cameras shoot in HD. Movies may contain violence and profanity, but keeping the movies at the highest rating of TV14 is recommended.
