      Who we are: Ideas United (IU) is looking for a business intern to assist the office of the CEO in sponsorships and project management. We’re looking for students interested in learning about running an exciting business centered around media and marketing, who will use their skills to further the development of our brands including Campus MovieFest (CMF), Hangout Music Festival, the Distinguished Filmmakers Network (DFN), and Ideas United Productions.

      What you’ll be doing

    • Business Strategy - Learn about and contribute to a unique company
    • Research - Everything from researching potential clients to new movie releases
    • Pitch Development - You’ll be a part of developing ideas to garner new business
    • Partner Relations - Helping to ensure that partner needs are being met across multiple departments
    • General office management - minor scheduling, some shipping and office organization.
    • Interacting with premier brands such as Panasonic, Apple, T-Mobile, Samsung and more.
    • What's the deal? This is an unpaid, 6-month, part-time internship. We reimburse travel to and from the office so save those receipts!       Ideas United LLC. (IU) is looking for an intern to help execute and manage production and film projects. We're looking for someone who will support filmmakers across the country with film projects and help maintain the Distinguished Filmmakers Network (DFN). This is a 6 month long part-time unpaid internship. You must be based in Atlanta and be able to work 12 hours a week from our Decatur based office.

      What you'll be doing:

    • Pre-production: Create customized logistical plan for each project; recruit filmmakers; schedule all filmmaking elements; organize legal documents; ensure appropriate resources are available for filmmakers; and overall organizational facets of each project. Each project is different and will therefore require different pre-production planning / problem solving.
    • Production: Manage teams of filmmakers to ensure project vision is realized within set deadlines.
    • Production: The Project Manager will be required to perform onsite production roles such as director, cameraman, or assistant.
    • Post-production: Manage teams of filmmakers to ensure project vision is realized within set deadlines and appropriate follow-ups are made after completion of projects.
    • Post-production: The Project Manager will be required to perform post-production roles such as editor and content distribution.

  • DFN Production Internship - Atlanta, GA

      Ideas United is looking for a Production Intern for the Distinguished Filmmakers Network. Candidates must be independent thinkers, motivated, and versatile; a solid balance of creativity, communication skills, and technical knowledge is ideal. This position will involve responsibilities within the following programs:

      CMF 3D:

    • Manage logistics and inventory for Campus MovieFest's 3D Film Festival.
    • Review and assist with treatment selection for production.
    • Communicate with participating filmmakers and provide basic technical support.
    • Manage, edit, and compress submitted video files.
    • DFN Recruitment:

    • Research and invite prospective candidates for CMF's Distinguished Filmmakers Network.
    • Update and reference member database.
    • Outreach to members for opportunities provided by DFN.
    • Help create networking and educational events for members.
    • IUP Production Assistant:

    • Assist staff with camera, audio, and other production roles on set.
    • Log, edit, and manage footage for in-house productions.
    • Ensure delivery of final video files or other data to clients.
    • Production Intern will have access to Mac computers and laptops during the duration of this internship and will need to be present at the office 3 days a week. Total length of internship can be discussed during the interview process. Gas and meals will be reimbursed.

      Desired skills and proficiencies:

    • Must be comfortable with Apple operating systems and software.
    • Experience editing in Final Cut Pro is necessary.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary.
    • Videography experience is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.

      Event Management, Promotion, and Execution.

      An exceptional opportunity to learn or further your experience related to event management. CMF gives you an unparalleled, hands on opportunity to dig into the inner workings of the world's largest student film festival. Working with the CMF team on specific projects, you will have direct access to understanding and helping manage schools and events on the tour. This includes working with students on campus and specific CMF event promotion as well as execution of CMF launches, collections, and finales. This position includes travel to East Coast CMF schools (Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Washington DC, New York City, and Boston) with the CMF tour. Travel and food stipend is included.

      Goals:

    • Develop and execute fresh marketing strategies and promotional schedules for CMF campuses.
    • Work with on campus students to help physically promote CMF through flyering, tabling, in class presentations, etc.
    • Assist thousands of students in making short films.
    • Responsibilities
