Campus MovieFest and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are thrilled to showcase the next generation's love of movies. College students from across the country shared their stories about how films have impacted and inspired them. Campus MovieFest interviewed hundreds of students at their CMF events on behalf of the Academy, plus students were invited to submit short videos about their love of movies. We were thrilled to send CMF filmmakers Aneel Khan and Ricardo Humareda to the Oscars® Red Carpet Experience to see the nominees in person and watch the show in the historic El Capitan Theater.

About Campus MovieFest
Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world's largest student film festival and a premier outlet for the next generation of movie lovers, began nine years ago when four students at Emory University provided fellow students with everything they needed - including Panasonic camcorders and Apple laptops - to make movies in one week. Since then, more than 350,000 students have told their stories on the big screen, receiving all the necessary technology and training for free thanks to participating schools and corporate partners.
About the Academy
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the world's preeminent movie-related organization, with a membership of more than 6,000 of the most accomplished men and women working in cinema. In addition to the annual Academy Awards, in which the members vote to select the nominees and winners, the Academy presents a diverse year-round slate of public programs, exhibitions and events; provides financial support to a wide range of other movie-related organizations and endeavors; acts as a neutral advocate in the advancement of motion picture technology; and, through its Margaret Herrick Library and Academy Film Archive, collects, preserves, restores and provides access to movies and items related to their history. Through these and other activities the Academy serves students, historians, the entertainment industry and people everywhere who love movies.
