This Year
Campus MovieFest is thrilled to launch this year's 50-event tour across the globe, with over 50,000 students getting everything they need to make short movies, all for free. We can't wait to showcase their creations for the world to see—at red carpet finales, online, on AT&T mobile phones, in-flight on Virgin America, and more. Select a region above to find out more.
Background
Campus MovieFest, created in 2000 by students at Emory University, has grown into the world's largest student film festival. The founders at Ideas United, LLC, have had the privilege of sharing their passion with students around the globe while working with great partner companies – including AT&T and Apple – to make the events possible.
Campus MovieFest is the only event of its kind to provide thousands of student teams with Apple laptops, camcorders, and training. In addition, hundreds of local musicians provide the best independent music that students have permission to use as their soundtracks.
The movie-making events culminate in unforgettable finales, with the on-campus showcases attracting thousands of students and staff. Regional grand finales, hosted at premiere venues such as Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and Lincoln Center, the National Grand Finale in Hollywood, and the CMF International Finale at Cannes, offer students a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feel like stars as they share their stories. For a nice bonus, CMF awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes, too. And students and schools gain invaluable skills, making CMF a highly sought after event by colleges and universities worldwide. |
